AJ4 'Pure Money' floating shoe (2020)

I have an unconditional love for sneakers, so decided to create this artwork featuring a new purchase.  To get this effect, I taped the shoe to a ceiling pendant lamp in my home, photographed it and uploaded to Photoshop to remove the background and hanging tape so it looks like the shoe is floating.  Next, I added a grainy orange filter which I built myself using Lightroom.  The resulting orange haze presents the shoe as a work of art.

Photoshoot for Maia Capp (2019)

This photoshoot was commissioned by a friend who is a showjumper and she wanted to have a natural outdoor environment for her parents to hang at home.  I borrowed some lenses including an 80mm prime lens from a photographer friend to use on my Canon 600D camera.  I made subtle after production changes to soften skin tone and remove blemishes using Lightroom.  I sent a contact sheet to her so she could choose her favourites and her and her family were pleased with the results.  Other commissions resulted from this work.

Photoshoot for Gloof Coffee Shop (2019)

The above photos were created for the website of a coffee shop owned by a family member.  This was my first time photographing food using an overhead tripod.  This helped me to learn how to achieve better composition using props.

Cambridge punting boats at night (2020)

This image of my home city of Cambridge at night using an 18-55mm lens and a long exposure was part of a movie poster (see other page).  I posted this on Instagram and as a result The Anchor pub (right of shot) approached me to ask permission to use the shot on their website.
